The Timely Tragedy is a 4-Piece Alternative/Indie Rock band out of Central Washington State (Chelan, WA). Originally started as a solo project by Matthew Sherrard (Years To Zero, The People Now, A Chance Without), the project has grown and evolved into what it is today. All members have been playing most of their lives and have extensive professional musical backgrounds. Their sound is reminiscent of 90’s Alternative Rock with a modern, melodic twist and are known for their intricate instrumentals and thought provoking lyrics. They are often compared to the sounds of Porcupine Tree, Incubus, Weezer and Pearl Jam. Many of their songs have gained traction on Spotify and they have been featured on both live streaming online radio stations and Seattle local radio stations.

The Timely Tragedy is making a name for themselves in their local community of Central Washington, and have been actively playing shows in the Seattle scene as well. They are eager to add more and more shows to their resume and become a big part of the independent music community!
