T. L. Timpe was born in Seattle, Washington and has called the Pacific Northwest her home for most of her life.
After rattling around in various unfulfilling jobs for her younger days, Terri finally landed a promising career with a land surveying and engineering firm. She has been working for this firm since 1983 and is now the business manager for the two offices in Wenatchee and Leavenworth.
In 2011 Ms. Timpe received her degree from Washington State University and was hired by that educational institution as a faculty member upon graduation. Even though she already had a full-time job, Terri was honored to work for WSU on a part-time basis for eleven years, helping students and faculty alike navigate the various online platforms, as well as pointing them to valuable resources available for their studies. Terri has a current certificate in accessibility training for online studies, and is on the Board of Central Washington Disability Resources.
As a child, T. L. Timpe was artistic and had the temper to go along with that, but never fostered either one. Five grown children and how many years later (she won’t tell us), Terri decided to try her hand at writing. Her book, Odolmorea, was published in 2020 on Amazon. She is working on her second book as of this writing.
Seeing her mother enjoy painting and drawing inspired Terri to try her hand at her own artwork again, and she was pleasantly surprised to find that she still had some talent. Terri enjoys pencil sketching, watercolor pencil drawings, and acrylic painting. Her favorite subjects are cats—she owns three—but finds she can draw almost any animal pretty well. T. L. is trying to broaden her horizons by trying her hand at a few landscapes and some portraits.
Terri became a Gallery member in September of 2021 and dove right in to get involved. She is the current Grant Facilitator for Two Rivers Gallery, as well as current Board Member and Treasurer.
