My name is Nancy Sunitsch and I am a mixed-media artist and teacher. I paint, draw, photograph, print and create many types of two-dimensional art.

I completed a general art bachelor’s degree at University of Washington before I earned my teaching certificate. My young adult years were spent teaching elementary-aged students, raising three children, and then teaching secondary art.

I have recently moved to Leavenworth, Washington to enjoy the next chapter of my retirement. I have ever-changing goals to improve my skills, find specific types of art that I love, and to find my artistic voice.

When I’m not in my studio, I garden, photograph nature, run my dogs, volunteer as a native plant steward, and am a grandmother. I plan on continuing my daily art practice and see myself continuing to teach and embrace my inner artist.
