Greetings from Humanities Washington! We are pleased to announce that the Speakers Bureau 2026-27 Roster application has opened! The Speakers Bureau program brings diverse, thought-provoking talks to communities throughout Washington State. This is an opportunity to engage with audiences on a wide range of topics, from history and culture to science and technology and every topic in between.
Benefits of joining the Speakers Bureau include:
- $400 per in-person presentation (plus travel expenses) and $300 per online presentation
- Setting your own schedule over a two-year term
- Sharing your knowledge in an accessible way to a wide variety of audiences
Applicants propose an engaging talk which they will present in public venues around the state if selected. Talks addressing a diverse range of topics are welcome but must be firmly rooted in the humanities. Applicants will be evaluated by their talk’s topic and presentation style.
The deadline to apply is April 17, 2025. Interested applicants can learn more about becoming a speaker on our website and see full details in the attached Call for Applications. Please reach out with any questions at speakers@humanities.org.
