The mission of Music Theatre of Wenatchee, a volunteer, non-profit organization incorporated under Washington state law, is to provide quality, live theatrical entertainment for the community from concept to performance, to provide opportunities for individuals to develop and use their own artistic skills and talents in a supportive, congenial and creative atmosphere, to provide leadership in artistic development, to entertain, educate, and enrich the lives of our patrons and community, to encourage appreciation of quality theater, and to join in cooperative efforts toward the advancement of local performing arts.

Music Theatre of Wenatchee (MTW) has had a tradition of excellent community theatre in the greater Wenatchee area since 1961. It is an all-volunteer non-profit enterprise governed by a volunteer board of trustees. Our goal is to provide quality entertainment, and the chance for community members to share talents, make new friends, learn new skills, and enjoy the excitement that live theatre offers.

From our home in the intimate, “thrust stage” Riverside Playhouse, MTW brings a full season of entertainment to the Wenatchee Area, including hit comedies, dramas and thrillers. The season culminates with our big spring musical production in partnership with the Numerica PAC at the Numerica PAC stage during Wenatchee’s Apple Blossom Festival.

MTW also the home and operator of the Short Shakespeareans, directed by Kelly Atwood. Short Shakespereans is a free summer theatre experience for children ages 3 to 17.
