My name is Kealani Yamamoto.
I am Hapa, half Filipino/half Caucasian.
My Hawaiian name comes from my mom and her family immigrating from the Philippines to Kauai, Hawaii.
I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 1 when I was 17 years old. My creativity and artistic talents took off after my diagnosis, and I have learned to lean into the chaos, beauty, and power of my own mind.
My dad and grandpa instilled my love for the outdoors. I grew up chasing them around the wilderness, and find the simple joys in continuing these traditions with my husband and two kids!
