Indigenous Artist-in-Residence Program at Holden Village

Hi! I'm Amy Huacani and I serve as Program Manager at Holden Village, a remote non-profit retreat center focused on arts, environmental stewardship, and spirituality located off of Lake Chelan. I am excited to share with you that Holden Village is launching its second application cycle for our Indigenous Artist-in-Residence program. The idea for this program came from Indigenous leaders in the Holden Village community and we are deeply grateful for their support and guidance.

This program is a two- to four-week self-guided on-site residency for Indigenous artists working in a variety of mediums. The program blends opportunities for independent creative work in a private studio space with engagement with the Village community. The application period is open now and will close on May 15 for residencies in late summer & early fall of 2025.

As a keystone in the Indigenous community and a supporter of Indigenous arts, I hope that you will share this opportunity broadly & especially with artists in your network. Those wanting to learn more and apply can find more information at the I-AIR program page on Holden's website. A flyer is attached and also available on the website. Please don't hesitate to be in touch with me if you have any questions.

Best,
Amy
