Wells House Wednesday – “Through the Eye of the Needle” with Heidi Thaut

August 6, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join longtime Wells House volunteer Heidi Thaut as she weaves over 300 years of quilting history in this free presentation on Wednesday, August 6, from 6-8 PM.

Heidi is a retired school educator with over 50 years of sewing experience, operating her own custom longarm quilting and quilt repair business in Bend, Oregon before relocating to East Wenatchee. Heidi’s interest in quilt history unfurled with every antique quilt she repaired or repurposed.

In this unique presentation, Heidi shares her curious discoveries with you, the rise and fall of quilting between 1820 to present day, and hopes you will find a stitching influence that piques your interest as well.

Every First Wednesday of the month, the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center will host a free community lecture or presentation at the historic Wells House. Registration for this presentation is recommended due to limited seating.

The Wells House is located at the Wenatchee Valley College at 625 Nelson Avenue. Unfortunately, the Wells House is not currently ADA-accessible. We apologize for the inconvenience.
