Terry is owner of Terry Valdez Studios and is an award winning artist – art instructor with over forty years of experience teaching art to youth and adult students. He has a Masters degree in the Creative Arts from Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass. With the support from the Wenatchee Art Education Consortium, he was instrumental in developing the K-Art curriculum that is used in public schools throughout the upper and lower valleys.
Terry’s art studies include attending the Gandie Brodie School of Fine Art in Vermont and the Instituto Allende in Mexico. As a guest lecturer, Terry has exhibited his art work in Russia, Mexico and Japan.
His public art can be found at the Link Columbia Bus Terminal. Terry was the National Endowment for Arts grant coordinator for the recently completed Kiwanis Methow Park renovation in South Wenatchee. Recently, In 2021 he was the guest Juror, exhibitor and lecturer at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center Fall festival in Port Angeles, Washington.
