Brian Ohme

Brian has been enjoying and participating in the Wenatchee arts and entertainment culture for nearly seven decades. That is, if you count the first seventeen years of his life, which were spent pulling weeds, hauling rocks and mowing lawns at Ohme Gardens, the Ohme family’s sixty-year art project.

His parents, Carol and Gordon Ohme, were also active in the local arts community (think Follies!); she with various organizations including Allied Arts, and he performing with his folk trio. Over the years, Brian has offered his own brand of entertainment, mostly including the performance of original songs and poetry. One Wenatchee World writer described his work as having “heart, soul, and funnybone”, a description he
is very comfortable with.

With this first-time board membership, Brian hopes to offer whatever unique perspectives he has acquired through his adventures, and support local art of all kinds to inspire us as a community.
