Merri Lee Sutton
Merri Lee (ML) Sutton is an artist recently relocated back to the Valley after 40 years on the West side of the mountains. She is a music photographer and stained glass artisan. Her photo images can be found on www.facebook.com/MLSuttonMusicPhotography as well as on mlsuttonmusicphotography on Instagram. Twenty-five years after a series of very fortunate events, she found herself the official photographer for legendary PNW rock-n-roll bands The Fabulous Wailers, The Sonics, Jr. Cadillac, and Merrilee Rush. She has had the privilege of capturing images including Eddie Vedder, Krist Novoselic, The Neville Brothers, and many more. “I shoot music in black and white because you can hear the rest of the colors.” The goal is to capture the soul of the artist behind the instrument and microphone. Currently she enjoys working for local bands and at open mics, as well as larger out-of-town acts when requested. Stained glass endeavors including foil and lead began in 1992, and after a 30-year hiatus due to “life” she’s begun creating again. Pepperland Glass Studio in East Wenatchee overlooking the valley is the perfect place to create, bringing imagination, glass and light together with a music bent. Fusing glass is a new venture in the studio, with plans to create memory pieces for pet parents using beautiful glass and inclusion of cremains. Special order and commission pieces are welcome. www.facebook.com/pepperlandglass and pepperlandglass on Instagram.
