I was an elementary teacher who retired in 2020. Throughout my career, I taught Art, Enrichment, First, and Second grade. Visual arts have always been my passion; teaching my profession.
Retirement during the COVID years, not being able to go anywhere, do anything, or see my friends was bleak and depressing. When Wenatchee Valley College opened their campus, I signed up for Ruth Allan’s ceramic class. 6 trimesters later, I have found the creative I have been seeking. I always enjoyed hand-building with clay, now I’m learning the wheel and loving it. I’m interested in networking with other ceramic artists.
