In a previous life (a few years ago) I was a fine jeweler working with precious metals and semi-precious stones. I did fine detailed wire wrapping and created beautiful pieces for wholesale and retail. But after a while I hit artistic burnout from boxing myself into such a specific style and niche. 8-Bit is the opposite of this on every level, it is a passion project, creating only what feels good and right in the moment. It’s silly, and strange and taps into a truer part of myself than my previous work ever did.
