SUMMARY:The 2024-25 Film and Speaker Series presents: Inhabitants
DESCRIPTION:The Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center is honored to host a screening of the award-winning documentary Inhabitants on Thursday\, Nov. 14\, 7-9PM. \nInhabitants follows five Native American Tribes across deserts\, coastlines\, forests\, and prairies as they restore their traditional land management practices. Registration is recommended. \nThe 2024-25 Film and Speaker Series is sponsored by Gesa Credit Union. Thank you to the IRRF for supporting this event. \nFor more information

DESCRIPTION:The Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center and NCW Arts Alliance invites you to this collaborative workshop series featuring regional artists and educators. \nTry your hand at a variety of creative mediums this summer\, delving into the art of Japanese calligraphy\, paper crafting\, painting and fiber arts in our Makerspace studio. These courses are for ages 16+ and are great for all skill levels – beginners welcome! \nOn Saturday\, August 31\, 1-3 PM\, learn to paint with stencils with Wenatchee-based artist Lindsay Breidenthal. This beginner-friendly technique can add depth and complexity to paintings. Students will leave class with small\, practical art pieces to take home or gift\, including bookmarks and postcards featuring their original art. \nBreidenthal is a Wenatchee-based artist who paints primarily with oil and acrylic paints\, layering patterns on top of each other to create dream-like scenes. She is known for painting for local businesses\, including the wall mural in our Coyote’s Corner. \nThis workshop costs $45 for members and $55 for non-members. Registration is required. \nPatrons registering for 3 or more classes are eligible for a 10% discount.
