SUMMARY:Short Shakespeareans: A Midsummer Night's Dream
DESCRIPTION:A Midsummer Night’s Dream\nThe Short Shakespeareans 2024 Production\nDirected by Kelly Atwood & Maddy Atwood\nProduced by Mark Belton\nMusic Director:  Amy Edwards \nPerformances:  July 31 – August 3\, 2024 at 7:00 PM\nMatinee:  August 3 at 2:00 PM\nRiverside Playhouse \nTICKETS \nWilliam Shakespeare’s most magical and imaginative play\, with a little enchantment. As the royals prepare to marry\, four young lovers from their Athenian kingdom flee to the forest in the wake of parental disapproval. But in the woodland\, these lovers’ lives are complicated upon crossing paths with feuding faerie royalty. As Oberon and Titania bicker over the changeling children\, the mischievous Puck and his sprightly accomplices use an herbal spell to hilariously complicate the love-mad quartet’s forest idyll. When a group of local rustics rehearsing a play for Athens wedding also seek the quiet of the forest\, the spells and confusions wrought seem unlikely to ever sort themselves out.
