Proceeds will go to regional arts programming and/or individual artist’s efforts. \nEverything submitted will be hung on the wall. DESCRIPTION:Featured Artists: Grunewald Guild’s group exhibition featuring 28 artists. \n\nThis juried exhibition is a collection from various artists relating to the theme of exploring a creative path in community.\n\nCurated by Shan Wang\, this will be Grunewald Guild’s second annual fall exhibition.\n\n\nAbout Waymaking:\nWaymaking is a juried exhibition of 35 pieces representing the work of 28 artists. The materials and media are diverse\, including sculptural ceramics\, furniture\, artist books\, collage\, glass mosaic\, mixed media sculpture\, hand-dyed and stitched textiles\, print-making\, and paintings in oils\, acrylic\, and watercolor. Each work was selected for its resonance with the unifying theme of Waymaking. Art has the power to inspire\, provoke thought\, and evoke emotion\, but also forges connections and creates pathways within communities. Artistic expression serves as a universal language that transcends boundaries\, bringing people together and fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose. In the embrace of community\, individuals find support and encouragement to explore new horizons\, learning about their expressive capacities together through the possibilities and constraints of craft. The body of work exhibited represents a community of artists\, and the work itself illustrates the process of finding or making one’s way\, both together and individually.\n\nThe Artists:\nLarkin Jean Van Horn\, Gloria Dovre\, Brian Strickland\, Erin Power\, Niki Stewart\, Pippin Christiansen\, Lindsey Merrell\, Vonda Drees\, Nicole Lang\, Lyn McCoy\, Rick Szeliski\, Becky Greear\, Claudia Elliott\, Dan McConnell\, Jami Campbell\, Amber Zimmerman\, Sheryl Smith\, Henry Stinson\, Sarah Laird\, Mary Rossing\, Cynthia Neely\, Jason Campbell\, Claire Seaman\, Claudia Mullek\, Emily Atkinson\, Alicia O’Dell\, Lila Steffan\, and Arden Wren Sawyer.
