Psych folk rock band, Forest Ray, began as a recording project in 2015, combining guitar driven psych rock with elements of garage rock, folk rock and organ-laden pop. They've been described as "Brit-pop gone country" or as "..The Band covering Beatles songs no one knew existed.” (Tony Kay, Washington's Artist Home blog). The group's sound has evolved from 60's psychedelic garage rock into spaced-out, down to earth rock n' roll, that feels “like a perfect companion for a long dusty road trip” (KEXP, Chris Sanley)

Forest Ray also performs solo acoustic with principal songwriter, Peter Sumic, performing Forest Ray originals on acoustic guitar and harmonica.

To describe Star Anna’s sound would depend on the day, the show, the album, or the band. Alt country, folk, blues, soul, and Americana are all fitting, but what remains the central focus of every performance is her voice. Whether she’s sitting on a stage with only her acoustic guitar or backed by some of Seattle’s finest musicians, it’s her voice that defines her music. It is belted with a raw, grittiness that bellows from a deep, dark reserve. It is softly laid down atop gentle strings, aching and tender. It is spit out with a fierce recklessness that echoes the glory days of punk. She’s been compared to Joan Jett, John Prine, Fiona Apple and Joe Cocker but she is unmistakably her own entity. Spare, fragile and gutsy, Star Anna is the real thing.

Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, DATURA conjures a danceable blend of goth rock and post-punk, driven by brooding rhythms and shimmering melodies. Their live shows are immersive and magnetic, pulling audiences into a misty world of their own making and their music is designed for fans of Nox Novacula, Bambara, House of Harm, French Police, and Haunt Me, blending melancholic melodies with a bruised, club-ready edge.

DATURA formed in 2018 in Wenatchee, Washington, and, following a lineup change in 2025 marking the departure of longtime drummer Tiffany Shafer, the band is composed of David Betancourt (vocalist, guitarist), Jake St. John (bassist), and Dustin Hays (drummer).

Initially self-releasing two EPs, DATURA signed with Sell the Heart Records (Berkeley, California) in 2021 and released their debut full-length album in 2022. Arcano Chemical received critical praise for its melancholic catchiness and haunting atmosphere. The band’s sophomore LP was released in April 2025 via Sell the Heart Records and in collaboration with Poland’s Bat-Cave Productions and the UK’s Engineer Records. Songs from a Dark House introduces a more upbeat, driving side to DATURA’s repertoire and touches thematically on burnout, addiction, isolation, and war.

In 2026, DATURA continues to evolve its sound with a sharp focus on intensity and danceability while building momentum with appearances at Verboden and MACROCK XXIX, as well as touring the American Southwest and East Coast. The band is also preparing to enter the studio to record their third full-length album. A short documentary produced by Lili Minato, a student at Western Oregon University, offers a closer look at DATURA’s trajectory within the modern darkwave and post-punk landscape.

Nate Burch is the leader of the Nate Burch Band. Nominated for Best New Blues Band of 2015 by the Washington Blues Society, their brand of funky Blues-Rock has been played at clubs all over the Puget Sound area. Nate moved to Central Washington in 2022 and is now bringing rocking Blues to wineries and clubs across the Chelan valley area. The echoes of T-Bone Walker, Albert Collins, Albert King, Freddie King, and Otis Rush can be heard in Nate's style, served up with a little Texas and West Coast attitude, and always played with passion and intensity.

At Epic Motion Dance Studio, our mission is to inspire and empower individuals, primarily adults and teens in the Wenatchee Valley, through movement, creativity, and connection. We use dance, fitness, and performance as tools for self-expression, healing, and community building in a welcoming, nonjudgmental space.

Rooted in our beginnings as a bold, body-positive dance and fitness studio, we are now evolving into a nonprofit dedicated to making these transformative experiences more accessible for all, regardless of income, background, or experience level.

We believe in exploring sensuality, embracing strength, and shedding societal constraints through inclusive programs like pole dance, aerial arts, Latin fusion, burlesque, and more. Our studio celebrates all bodies, all stories, and all journeys, with movement as the bridge between personal growth and collective joy.

Whether you come for a class, a scholarship opportunity, or to perform onstage, Epic Motion offers a sanctuary for rediscovery, resilience, and radical self-love. Together, we create art, uplift one another, and build a vibrant, empowered community where every voice, and every body, can move freely.
