For me, art is a rebellious act.
I've never wondered if I'm an artist… I was born knowing.
I work across canvas, skin, clay, and screen: painting, drawing, tattooing, ceramics, photography, and digital art. Not because I can't choose a lane, but because I don't speak in specific mediums. I speak in feeling. Everything I encounter to create with is just the tool.

My work lives at the threshold, the space between what shows and what doesn't. My subjects return again and again to emergence: women rising from roots, faces surfacing from smoke, figures caught mid transformation between what they were and what they're becoming. There's a duality running through all of my work that is not meant to resolve into easy harmony. Control vs freedom… Roots vs wings… Aflame but never burnt.

To me, art is how we hand each other our own private way of seeing the world. It's how I take whatever's been hardest to carry and alchemize it into something that doesn't just sit inside me anymore, something I can hold up and say this is what it's been like to be me, does anyone else know this feeling too? My hope is that someone someday stands in front of a piece of mine and feels less alone in whatever they're carrying or transforming into.
I'm based in Cashmere, where I run Inklinations, a private tattoo studio. I'm also co-founder of Make Your Mark, a Washington nonprofit dedicated to radical art accessibility.

Updates on my work can be found at @aliciamayeart on instagram

Ari Shore

For over a decade, I taught art in classrooms filled with creative chaos and possibility, guiding students through color, form, texture, and the quiet magic of making. Eventually, my path is shifting toward clinical counseling, where I am exploring healing not just through art, but through deep listening, reflection, and care. Now, in this season of life, I find myself as a mom, friend, partner, student, teacher and a forever maker, navigating the steady hum of daily life, while still carving out sacred time to return to my own creative center.

At my table (often literally crowded), you’ll find metalwork alongside oil paintings, handwoven textiles draped next to stained glass, natural materials waiting to be transformed, and (so many) half-finished projects sharing space with everyday living. I’ve never fit neatly into a single box, not as a maker, not as a teacher, not as a mother, and I’m learning that maybe that’s the point. This is a space of integration: a home for all my practices, from fine art to functional craft.

Crowded Table Craft is a studio operating out of Artworx in Wenatchee, providing kid, teen, and adult classes, workshops, and camps

I’ve always cared about the environment since a young age. I watched my grandmother picking up beer cans off the side of the road when we would take walks by her cabin in the woods, always recycling the best I can. But until I started having children I didn’t really pay attention to how much plastic waste we have on this planet. We don’t really recycle much of it. Most of it ends up in the landfill or the ocean. So I started to change my habits to eliminate as much plastic from our lives as possible. And you know what? It’s really difficult! Even with all my efforts I still have boxes of plastic. I decided to use it in my art to keep it out of the landfill and bring more awareness to the issue. I don’t want my children to live in a polluted wasteland.

I was born and raised in Wenatchee, WA, in fact my family has been here for quite some time. My great grandparents settled here in 1923 and before that in Leavenworth, WA in 1907. I grew up watching my dad paint giant billboards, make beautiful sandblasted and gilded glass signs. So the arts have always been in my blood. I graduated from Wenatchee high school, earned my AAS degree from Wenatchee Valley College, and my BFA degree from Central Washington University in 2005 with a focus in metalsmithing/jewerly. Although I have been working with a lot of plastic lately, I also love to paint, play with clay, bang on metal, and felt wool. No material is off limits for me.

Emma Baldwin is a painter whose work explores the intersection of ecology, imagination, and hope. Drawing inspiration from her deep connection to the outdoors, she transforms her experiences hiking and exploring the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest into intricate watercolor and acrylic paintings.

Her ongoing series’ envision a future in which species move freely across boundaries, forming new and resilient ecosystems. Through layered compositions that recall the traditions of botanical illustration and landscape painting, Baldwin reimagines the natural world as abundant and adaptive rather than fragile or fading. Each piece invites viewers to see the planet’s interconnected life with renewed wonder and optimism.

Lottie Parker is a visual artist and printmaker working in drawings and paintings on paper and traditional planographic and relief printmaking techniques. Since she could hold a pencil, she has processed life’s experiences and the world around her through drawing. Her work seeks to explore the human experience and our interconnectedness, both to one another and our natural and built environments. As a farmer’s wife and mother, she is particularly interested in narratives surrounding rural landscapes, agriculture, motherhood, and family dynamics.

Parker received her BFA in Printmaking from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, studying under Master Printer, Craig Cornwall, and her MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University in Seattle, WA. She has shown regionally at the Karen Hille Phillips Gallery, the Columbia Center for the Arts, the Downtown Tacoma Block Party, and the Lakewood Boys and Girls Club. Parker currently resides in Quincy, WA with her husband and two young children.
