SUMMARY:Film and Speaker Series Presents: Ubuntu
DESCRIPTION:Ubuntu: How an Ancient African Concept Can Help Human Flourishing \nThe Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center is honored to have guest lecturer Dr. Itohan M. Idumwonyi present on Ubuntu philosophy. \nGonzaga professor Itohan M. Idumwonyi invites Washingtonians to explore Ubuntu. Ubuntu emphasizes community building\, a way to reapproach our relationships so we can break the artificial borders that separate us and look out for one another. Directing one’s own humanity to others helps us navigate beyond superficial solutions to rethink\, adapt\, and foster human interconnectedness. \nThis lecture is free to everyone. Pre-registration is recommended. \nThe 2024-25 Film and Speaker Series is sponsored by Gesa Credit Union. This speaker event is brought to you by Humanities Washington.

SUMMARY:Lit Mic: NCW's loudest open mic
DESCRIPTION:Join us for NCW’s loudest open mic: Lit Mic. \n\n\n\nJoin us every First Tuesday at Bushel & Bee Taproom in Leavenworth. 7pm to 9:30pm \n\n\n\nThis open mic is for writers of all types and stripes. Bring your poems\, essays\, excerpts\, short stories and more. Sign up on arrival to reserve your spot. Space is limited. \n\n\n\nThe key tenets of Lit Mic summarized: be kind and make some noise. \n\n\n\nThe slightly longer version: Art is personal and political. We are kind and respectful. Keep it real\, but keep it civil. We are here to celebrate art and artists. Check any pretentiousness and bad vibes at the door. We are NCW’s loudest open mic. Whistle\, clap\, cheer – show these writers some love. \n\n\n\nThis event is hosted by Holly Thorpe of Stark Consulting and Events. Questions? Contact Holly at starkncw@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:All Is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914
DESCRIPTION:All Is Calm:  The Christmas Truce of 1914\nMTW’s 2024 Christmas Production\nDirected by S. Henry Hettick\nMusical Direction by Dan Jackson\nWritten by Peter Rothstein\nVocal Arrangements by Erick Lichte & Timothy C.
