The MAC Gallery opens the 26/27 school year by showing off the fruits of WVC Art Department faculty members’ professional artistic practices.

The group exhibition includes creative works across a variety of media by Art Instructors Scott Bailey, Natalie Dotzauer, Arius Elvikis, Ellen Bruex, Linda Lyons, Elena Payne, Edgar Smith, and Sarah Sprouse—as well as Instructional Technicians Nik Penny and Denis DuBois.

Open 12-5pm Saturdays in July for “(Art)ifacts” in the Punch Gallery and live performances on the Punch Stage 3-5pm.

This July we present What better way to celebrate our country’s 250th birthday than with a survey of strange and curious items from our collective Koffers? We’ve scoured our junk drawers, attic spaces and scrapbooks for items we’ve squirreled away with the fortuitous intuition that these things might in fact be useful at some point in time.

Well, the time is now!

There will be bonafide extra-terrestrials, curious cloth dolls, detritus from historic East Germany, taxidermied dinosaurs, candy molds, a carpenter’s rule, love letters, concert handbills, retro toys and other childhood miscellanea. Also, you should expect to see a smattering of obsolete technologies, Chinese art supplies, dice, mementos from America’s favorite pastime, a mummified skunk, Antarctic rocks, old boots, a yanked bicuspid, an egg of unknown origin, bottled apparitions from the historic West and a vintage 1978 Battlestar Galactica Ovion 4” plastic figure.

Come and experience the menagerie of artifacts and ephemera cobbled together by the PUNCH crew for your viewing enjoyment.
